Dear GODsippers,
As we process the midterm election results, let me encourage you with the word of the Lord.
In prayer this morning, Holy Spirit spoke to me saying,
I will let them come in,
And then I will come in and take it back.
TAKEBACKS are MINE! says the Lord. I have not finished the race.
Though many say, It’s over! I say, NOT on your LIFE!
I AM in it to WIN it. And WIN, I will.
I love this concept of TAKEBACKS. As I looked up the meaning in this word choice, I found in the online dictionaries (merriam webster and dictionary online) what you might expect, ‘to accept someone back’ or ‘regain control or possession’ but when I consider these in the context of what the Lord is saying, I am filled with hope and great peace. HE will always take back what is His. Whew!
Then, I saw a huge sign like a campaign sign, red, white and blue. On it was written,
GOD ALWAYS WINS!
Further, the Holy Spirit spoke,
He is not asleep! He is waiting.
Undisturbed, the Lord waits for those who will come to Him. There is no other agenda.
He waits.
He waits for those who will say, Rescue us, Lord! We have need of you! and there they will find Him, rescuing.
He waits for those who will say, I have nothing, but You fill me! and in this moment, they will be filled.
Beyond our knowing He waits for what is good to come to us, bringing only Good News and only good things to His children.
Then I heard,
He is an awesome Father and one who waits for the RETURN.
As I heard the word that He waits for the RETURN, the Lord impressed several things about this statement to my spirit.
His WORD does NOT return void! He watches over His word to perform it!
He waits to set forth the Return of His Son.
He waits for the people returning to Him.
He waits for the ELECTION RETURNS. For HIS ELECTION IS SURE!
OH HIs MERCY and His perfect timing! Praise the Lord for He is GOOD!
Now read and meditate on the following scripture for more understanding of ‘His Election Returns’:
Confirming One’s Calling and Election. 2 Peter 1: 3 -11 (NIV).
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (emphasis added).
As I sat with HIm, He continued, What can you lose in Christ?
I weep as He speaks. And I know the answer as He says, All loss is gain.
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. Philippians 3:7-9 (NIV).
After this, I heard the Lord say,
THE WAITING GAME.
THIS IS THE SPIRITUAL WALK. THE WAITING.
In our flesh, waiting can seem torturous. Is it any surprise that God specializes in waiting?
As I heard this word, I saw a hunter crouched low in the woods, waiting for his prey.
And I heard Him say,
PATIENCE IS EVERYTHING IN THIS GAME.
ALL THAT CONFLICTS WITH THE FLESH, THE SPIRIT REQUIRES.
Patience goes against the grain of the flesh. Waiting is against man’s comfort and desire in many ways. But as much as these conflict with the Spirit, they are required.
16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18 (NIV).
As we wait, we remember we wait with Him. What could be better than this?
Indeed, our God always wins! And so do we who are with Him. I love to remind anyone who will listen, we are always in a WIN-WIN situation with the Lord!
GODsippers, Stay in the Spirit of God and do not walk by the flesh. Keep your eyes on Him, on things above and not below. Set your heart on Him and stay in His Word. God will bring about His will in all things.
From Him are all things and to Him are all things. To HIM be the GLORY FOREVER, AMEN!
(Romans 11:36).
More soon!
