As we’ve been praying into 2018, many of us have been given words and confirmation of the Holy Spirit. He has been speaking widely with great assurances of RESTORATION and TRANSFORMATION; making clear to the church that He is indeed doing a BRAND NEW THING in the coming year! We praise God that He reveals what He is doing to His prophets and I am grateful that He is the God who speaks! Partnering with the King of King and Lord of Lords in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth is more exciting than ever before!
I continue to have a sense of urgency for the equipping of the Body of Christ and preparing the Bride for the Bridegroom’s return. Within this framework of equipping, Holy Spirit has reminded me of the essential nature of teaching what is seriously lacking across the Body, and remembering what is most essential in the power of our spiritual warfare, as well as basic to our faith; the blood of Jesus!
During Sunday worship, I heard the words ‘Blood Flow‘ several times in the spirit, and all at once received a vision of blood flowing from the cross like a wide river down a hill. The Lord showed me His body being laid down as the cross was lowered to the ground. He impressed on my spirit that it was necessary for His blood and body to touch the ground in this act of completion – to the death of the world, so that He could bring the world back to life with Him. By His blood, life would be carried and His blood had to continue to flow!
We know that blood carries life! Increased blood flow brings health to the body!
Church, have we been lulled into a numbness due to lack of blood flow? Do we talk, sing, preach, teach, declare and plead the POWER of the BLOOD of Jesus? This almost seems to have become a thing of the past, but it is still the TRUTH of God, which does not change. Even though our culture may change, the TRUTH of the WORD cannot change!
We understand the blood of Jesus brought us life at salvation and atonement for our sins, completely washing these away! Is this powerful enough for us to declare? And with this complete salvation, we also receive preservation, protection, wholeness, healing, and all provision of every life-giving thing!
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.” ~ Leviticus 17:11 (NKJV)
This model for the body of Christ is an image of the saving blood of the life of our Savior that must flow through the church in order for us to move and live properly!
Biologically, we know that decreased blood flow causes fatigue, high blood pressure, stress, numbness to the extremities, damage to organs, and many other body malfunctions. This is our example for the health of the spiritual body.
Church, have we forgotten all power is in the blood of Jesus Christ? Our failure to promote the blood flow by failing to declare the blood over every member of the body sets us up for many malfunctions and eventually will result in complete loss of life to the church.
To ignore or discount the BLOOD of Christ is to deny the work of the cross. “Without shedding of blood is no remission.” ~ Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV)
The Lord brought my attention back to an old book I love, ‘The Power of the Blood’ by H.A. Maxwell Whyte. In it, he explains, “When we honor the blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit immediately manifests His life on our behalf. The Holy Spirit agrees with the Word of God and with the blood of Jesus, and all three are in agreement with the others. They are triunely one.” The power of the Holy Spirit is in agreement with the blood of Jesus! This is the word of God as we see here,
“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.” ~ 1 John 5:5-8
Will the church testify the blood of Jesus in agreement with the Holy Spirit today? Let’s declare, ‘BLOOD FLOW to the Body of Christ!’ We must speak LIFE to the church and to the Kingdom of God be established on the earth!
So be it, Lord. In the all-powerful name and by the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
