GodSippers,

The Spirit of God led me into Hosea and fed me there. I offer this unfolding of His written word in the book of Hosea, along with the words He spoke to me.

For Those Who Cannot Hear

“Therefore, Behold, I will allure her,

Bring her into the wilderness,

And speak kindly to her.”

~ Hosea 2:14

I hear Him say,

I desire for you to speak on My behalf to the ones who cannot hear —

to tell them I LOVE them, and they don’t even know it!

They can NEVER know HOW MUCH MY LOVE is LAVISHED on them because they are looking for fruits in the wrong places – on the vine, but not in the heart.

Look on the INSIDE! This is where I place My Love; not on the outer things or in the outer places -(these are for show).

Anyone can see what is on the outside!

But you long to see what is in My heart, so I will show you this.

Distaste for My people’s fetishes – they gain this and long for that,

yet they do not SEE the signs of the times in front of their faces!

“LET ME SEE,” says the Lord.

“Let Me see what is in your heart before I show you what is in Mine.”

For I will show you and I will inhibit your way

so that you do not bring on yourself the terrible calamity that waits for you in the path you are on.

FREE!

You are FREE to go there, but I will impede your progress in that direction to slow you from disaster and head you into My love instead.

You will wait until the last minute to say “Uncle!”

But I will hear you cry out, “Father!”

“Save me from myself! Rescue me from my own ways!”

Incredible voice has been given to you, yet you squeak out a mealy-mouthed message of hope and rescue.

You regard Me as nothing compared to yourself.

But I will save you from yourself,

and release you into progress on that day you fully surrender to Me.

“Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their King, and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness.”  ~ Hosea 3:5

In Hosea, understand this contrast between the unfaithfulness of God’s people versus the perfect faithfulness of God toward His people.

How good God is to say, as in Hosea 14:4, “I will hear their apostasy, I will love them freely…”

This love is what Papa God was conveying to me to share with you from the beginning of this message. We can never know just how much His love is lavished on us especially when we are looking for fruits in the wrong places.

The words spoken by the Spirit of the Lord gave me such a deep shaking in my spirit. He told me to give this word to His people. The body of Christ and those who shepherd the body, as He said, this word is for those who cannot hear. Jesus, Help. Lord, help us hear.

Take note of two particular words Holy Spirit used here, both of which I do not normally use. I looked up each one and found some interesting insights into just how passionate His words to us are.

First He speaks of His distaste for our fetishes. In the online Dictionary, the origin of the word fetishes is from the word for ‘charm, sorcery’ and the connected meaning to this is in the #2 definition – ‘an inanimate object worshipped for its supposed magical powers or because it is considered to be inhabited by a spirit.’  Let us understand the Lord is saying He has distaste for these idols we have created for ourselves.

The other word is ‘mealy-mouthed’ which also struck me as interesting. I’m not sure I’ve ever used that term in my life. Looking at the online Collins Dictionary, I found ‘mealy-mouthed’ to specifically mean ‘avoiding the use of direct and plain language, as from timidity, excessive delicacy,or hypocrisy; inclined to mince words; insincere, devious, or compromising.’ Sounds to me like He’s over the garbage. Cut it out.

I pray we are people who hear our God and who desire to hear Him constantly and clearly. He is faithful to answer and speak in many ways if we simply wait and listen. My experience with hearing Holy Spirit may be different from yours, but in my hearing, I also have learned when it is time to speak. So may it also be with you. I encourage you to pray and then read the book of Hosea whenever you can take an hour to read and meditate on it. I believe He will show you more.

Pray with me.

Lord, let us see Your heart for us and know You as You are with us. Let us see the fruits on the inside and let us love You above every other person and thing. IN CHRIST, we see and BY Your Holy Spirit we hear, and in all of Who You are, we thank You for showing us more, teaching us the better way of Your love. Let us FULLY SURRENDER to You, Lord. Amen.

Let us be people who HEAR their God and MOVE with Him!
