“And I will perform wonders in the sky above and miraculous signs on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will be changed to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.” ~ Acts 2:19-20
We were praying together before the message was to be shared and in the spirit, I heard a sound that sounded like radio static and a radio voice as the Spirit of the Lord said, “We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you the Word of Truth.” Following this, I heard the Lord saying, ‘You will know that I AM the Lord your God and there is no other.‘
The message then brought by the pastor was from Joel 2 “… After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions. Even on male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will produce portents both in the sky and on the earth – blood, fire, and columns of smoke. The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the Lord comes – that great and terrible day! It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who survive, just as the Lord has promised; the remnant will be those whom the Lord will call. ~Joel 2: 32
I heard these words in my spirit, ‘Out of Devastation, the new day can dawn. Out of Destruction, there can come a new dream. Shattered Dreams can lead to the newness God has for us.’
It started with the 11’s the weekend of 9/11. I saw them everywhere. I understood 11 to be a number of judgment in the Bible. I heard the word, ‘Devastation’ and following the 9/11 weekend, the Lord gave me visions and words of judgment day after day, and then began to speak about the exiles. In early October, He led me to Isaiah 11:11-12 (below) and began to say, I’m bringing back the exiles.
“At that time the Lord will bring back a remnant of his people for the second time, returning them to the land of Israel from Assyria, Upper and Lower Egypt, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and all the distant coastal lands. He will raise a flag among the nations for them to rally to; he will gather the scattered Israelites from the ends of the earth.” ~ Isaiah 11:11-12 (TLB)
Then, these words came like a flood. Nearer and nearer we go to the time when the land is restored to its people. Its rightful owners are on the way home to claim what belongs to them. This I say to you now, Not another day will go by before I begin to set things right. I will not wait any longer for the devastation to come down on Egypt. Look and you will see it coming – the abomination and desecration of the temple. These people offend Me with their barbaric deeds and lack of respect for My people. For I have chosen them out of all the world to be the people of their God. And because I have chosen them, I will preserve and sustain them. Because I have given them exile, I will also return them and restore them to their land and to Me – once and for all. This is about to happen in the real. Watch and see Me at work in the lives of Egyptian commoners – to My disdain- they have forsaken other gods and turned to Me for freedom, but not to be purified or made right with Me; only to feign a response to the devastation and destruction. But I will have true peace and not hostility. A ‘hostile takeover’ will not accomplish My will. I will bring peace to the nation of Israel once and for all. Forever, My name will be held High Above as ‘the GOD Who Saves Us’! ‘Hallelujah!’ The people will cheer and shout My name! Finally, they will come to the KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING of a FATHER who has loved them all along. This TIME, says the Lord, is MY TIME, and My people will not fail to respond to My voice. They will drink with Me and not poison their souls any longer with the drink of other gods. They will eat of Me and receive all I have longed to be to them. Forever changed, this will create a new way of living everywhere for them, as a new nation, and for all who follow Me and My way – JUSTICE is coming and IS (here) COME.
After He gave these words, He told me to read Jeremiah 23. My heart raced in my chest. Read for yourself. The Words He poured out above, I simply wrote as I heard. I did not know the words of Jeremiah 23 (below) until He sent me to read them after. God is faithful to confirm His word. I don’t fully understand everything, but I know when I hear Him and He always provides a complete connection to His truth. He is speaking to us. I offer to you to take to prayer whatever your questions may be. This is only the tip of the iceberg.
Jeremiah 23 The Lord declares:
“I will send disaster upon the leaders of my people—the shepherds of my sheep—for they have destroyed and scattered the very ones they were to care for. 2 Instead of leading my flock to safety, you have deserted them and driven them to destruction. And now I will pour out judgment upon you for the evil you have done to them. 3 And I will gather together the remnant of my flock from wherever I have sent them and bring them back into their own fold, and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4 And I will appoint responsible shepherds to care for them, and they shall not need to be afraid again; all of them shall be accounted for continually.
5-6 For the time is coming, says the Lord, when I will place a righteous Branch upon King David’s throne. He shall be a King who shall rule with wisdom and justice and cause righteousness to prevail everywhere throughout the earth. And this is his name: The Lord Our Righteousness. At that time Judah will be saved and Israel will live in peace.
7 In that day people will no longer say when taking an oath, “As the Lord lives who rescued the people of Israel from the land of Egypt,” 8 but they will say, “As the Lord lives who brought the Jews back to their own land of Israel from the countries to which he had exiled them.”
9 My heart is broken for the false prophets, full of deceit. I awake with fear and stagger as a drunkard does from wine because of the awful fate awaiting them, for God has decreed holy words of judgment against them. 10 For the land is full of adultery, and the curse of God is on it. The land itself is mourning—the pastures are dried up—for the prophets do evil, and their power is used wrongly.
11 The priests are like the prophets, all ungodly, wicked men. I have seen their despicable acts right here in my own Temple, says the Lord. 12 Therefore, their paths will be dark and slippery; they will be chased down dark and treacherous trails and fall. For I will bring evil upon them and see to it, when their time has come, that they pay their penalty in full for all their sins.
13 I knew the prophets of Samaria were unbelievably evil, for they prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel into sin; 14 but the prophets of Jerusalem are even worse! The things they do are horrible; they commit adultery and love dishonesty. They encourage and compliment those who are doing evil instead of turning them back from their sins. These prophets are as thoroughly depraved as the men of Sodom and Gomorrah were.
15 Therefore the Lord Almighty says: I will feed them with bitterness and give them poison to drink. For it is because of them that wickedness fills this land. 16 This is my warning to my people, says the Lord Almighty. Don’t listen to these false prophets when they prophesy to you, filling you with futile hopes. They are making up everything they say. They do not speak for me! 17 They keep saying to these rebels who despise me, “Don’t worry! All is well!”; and to those who live the way they want to, “The Lord has said you shall have peace!”
18 But can you name even one of these prophets who lives close enough to God to hear what he is saying? Has even one of them cared enough to listen? 19 See, the Lord is sending a furious whirlwind to sweep away these wicked men. 20 The terrible anger of the Lord will not abate until it has carried out the full penalty he decrees against them. Later, when Jerusalem has fallen, you will see what I mean.”

About a year ago I noticed that I was seeing the number 11 everywhere. It seemed that everyday I looked at the clock right when it said 11:00 and other times I kept seeing that number. After it kept happening over and over I realized God was trying to tell me something so I researched the number 11 and found it meant chaos and disorder. I was puzzled and was wondering how my life was in that state. Finally the Lord showed me that chaos was coming upon the earth. I believe with all my heart that a great shaking is coming and we need to seek the Lord with all of our heart.
Yes, Mary Beth. I have a growing intensity and urgency for intercession all the time. The Lord is showing me that it is essential that purification takes place in the church first. In so many ways, there is a mixture being fed to the body of believers that is not of God, but ‘preaching another Jesus’ that is satisfying to the people. He is interested in true worshippers, who worship Him alone, in SPIRIT and TRUTH! This has to be FIRST, then the HARVEST can be brought. Praying together for this. God bless you, dear sister!
Jill, for months and I mean months, the number 11 comes up in my life. In my car, my mileage reflects the number 11 in some form often, many times my car clock reflects 11:11 or 11:00. Often my watch or home clocks when I look at them reflect the number 11, even the clock on my DVD player often displays 11 or 11:11. In one day the number 11 must have appeared before me at least 4 times within an hour as I was driving, either my clock radio, my watch or a road sign or license plate would have the number 11 in it. I too started digging to discover it means disorder, chaos, unrest. I truly felt God was trying to tell me to beware something BIG is coming. To GET READY! I recently shared with Kevin Stevens that for a very long time I have believed from the depths of my soul that something in the spiritual realm is really stirring and it is BIG! Tonight I went with some friends to Liberty University to a women’s event and I shared with a good friend while there that something powerful, even more so than ever, was happening as I watched the women worship….it was more moving than I can begin to write. She felt the same way and said I had just confirmed what she too was feeling. As we drove home, we also discussed how many churches we know of have changed their sermon messages to the “feel good” message, and how we both have people in our lives who are now questioning that Jesus is the ONLY way…they now are questioning or believe there is more than one way to heaven. Yes, Donna! There is so much more in the unseen than in the seen. As He begins to open our spirit eyes to these things, there really is no turning back. Interesting. I found your post while googling to see if anyone else was hearing from God about the destruction of the wicked.
Around the beginning of June I had a dream and all I remember is a single sentence.
“July 31 I will begin sweeping the wicked from the earth.”
That’s it. I discerned whether it was from God and I discern it was. I checked to see if there was a July 31 – 30 days has September, April, June, and November … Yep, 31 days in July. I pondered it for several more days, giving God an opportunity to add more, to fill in some detail, or answer some of my questions about what I had heard.
I was still somewhat skeptical. I began thinking that July 31 seemed pretty arbitrary. What was so special about July 31 that God would pick that date? Well, a few days ago I looked up July 31 in the Hebrew calendar. Sundown on July 31 starts the ninth day of the month of Av. The ninth day of Av is:
The date the 1st temple was destroyed.
The date the 2nd temple was destroyed.
The date Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 135 AD.
The date God told Moses that the adults in Israel would die in the wilderness. They would not enter the promised land. In effect, it was the day he began sweeping those wicked from the earth.
My understanding is that the wicked are all the wicked in the earth: that it is what Jesus said in Matthew 13:39-41 that at the end of the age he will command his angels to remove the wicked from his kingdom. The “sweeping away the wicked” is very similar to the language in Zephaniah 1:1-2:3.
In my intercession for the wicked I remembered that judgment begins in the house of the Lord and immediately thought of judgment against the false prophets and corrupt shepherds – Jeremiah 23.
