Share your thoughts: What is your “American Dream” ?

American Dream~ Success is getting ahead, moving up, making your own way, having more!

God’s Dream ~ Success is humility, moving over, showing someone else the way, giving more.

We love to Americanize God. Rather than being transformed into His character; we prefer creating Him in our image.  It’s more comfortable, and God knows we love our comfort.

King Solomon, the wealthiest and wisest king ever, became disillusioned with all of the pleasures this earthly life had to offer.

“I said to myself, “Come on, let’s try pleasure. Let’s look for the ‘good things’ in life.” But I found that this, too, was meaningless.” ~Ecclesiastes 2:1 (NLT)

In Solomon’s years of searching for satisfaction, he finally came to understand that the only real source of peace rested in an intimate relationship with God.  He summed it up in one simple sentence. ~ “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.” ~ Ecclesiastes 12:13

Where does your ‘American Dream’ stand right now?  How has your dream changed?  How is God transforming your life in the present time?

In this year, this time and place of your walk, how do you see your ‘Dream’ lining up with God’s Dream for you?  Please feel free to explore and share your heart here!

With love & belief, Jill

Jesus is Better than anything the world has to offer. Everything is Better with Him. Heavenly Father, Give me a heart to keep Your commands and love like Jesus. Clothe me in tender mercies, kindness, humility, and long-suffering so I have true Love. Cut out doubt and fear, roots of bitterness that sour and spoil an optimistic attitude that loves. When others see me let them see and experience my heart to love like You love. Grace, Love and Truth in all things, Gay

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”

How about this novel idea. . . One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty, . . . And Justice, . . . For ALL!
